You will be part of a team providing high level support for the Windows Desktop environment that covers Corporate and Education environments. Technologies used include AirWatch, SCCM, Citrix and Jamf. You will also provide the lead role in small to medium sized projects and play a significant role in large projects. You will offer the very highest levels of service across a range of Services and will be expected to contribute to the delivery of an excellent ICT support service. This post is within the Technical Service Delivery Team based at Midlothian House in Dalkeith.

Essential

The jobholder should hold a Higher National Diploma in Information Technology or similar relevant subject or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical experience in one of the following technologies

Windows and Desktop technologies
Systems Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).

The jobholder must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills and organisational skills and have well developed research, analytical and planning skills.

The jobholder is required to maintain a detailed knowledge of all technical related areas which may impact on the technical project delivery as well as maintaining a broad understanding of the Council's IT capabilities and constraints.

The jobholder is expected to keep up to date with advances in new technology and changes in practice, specifically within the technology sector with a view to assessing the appropriateness for wider technical within the Authority.

The jobholder must have experience of maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of organisations and individuals.

ITIL Foundation Qualification

Prince2 Foundation qualification

A knowledge of Windows Active Directory, AirWatch, Citrix XenApp and Windows Operating Systems

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £28,684.39 per annum.
