An exciting opportunity to join the IT Service Desk team has become available within GCU Information Services. As part of our continual service management improvement we wish to appoint a Senior IT Assistant on a fixed term basis to help fulfil our Service Desk provision.

You will be a key part of the Service Desk team, aiding staff and students with IT issues and offering solutions through our My Service call management system while demonstrating a high level of customer service. You will bring working knowledge of IT support and will have experience dealing with customer enquires in an effective manner.

It is essential that the prospective role holder has a good working knowledge of IT/AV and how this is used in a business environment. You will be able to clearly explain complex information and technical knowledge in non-technical terms to customers and will demonstrate a high level of customer service skill. As an active member of the Service Desk team you will have the ability to analyse and interpret information, using your initiative to lead in problem resolution and will participate fully in team activities, potentially working within project teams where required. You will demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, maintaining flexibility in line with the service provision needs.
