Reporting to the IT Technology and Solutions Manager, this is a senior post within the new IT Services structure and is critical in the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services. As Security Architect your challenge is to be the subject matter expert on the IT security controls, technologies, processes and policies used by West Lothian Council providing leadership within the field of network security.
The post will work closely with the other Advanced Specialist posts within the team covering specialist areas including Unix, Wintel, Client and Server Management, Networking and Application Interface Development providing an excellent IT service provision to all of our customers.
This permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the new IT structure within West Lothian Council IT Services.
IT Services structure is based on ITlLv3 and you must have a solid understanding, knowledge and experience of good practice. Applicants will have proven experience of designing, implementing and supporting the implementation of IT security controls in a multi-site, multi-security profile organisation, including a minimum of three years working with a PSN and PCI compliant organisation.
