We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to help us to modernise our technology and information systems and meet the needs of our business improvement objectives. This newly created role will ensure our systems help us make a positive difference for staff and customers.
In the role you are responsible for:
Managing the development, configuration and administration of specialist software applications. Developing solutions with external software suppliers that focus on business improvement and income generation. Developing training for staff in the use of the Trust’s systems. Managing competing IT demands across all the Trust’s business areas and contributing to the management of a range of projects. Providing advice to the Trust’s senior management and working collaboratively with our IT support service, external providers and operational teams.
Experience relevant for the role:
You will have experience of working in a similar IT capacity within a customer-facing organisation, and be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline. You will bring creative, innovative and imaginative thinking to find solutions to improve the Trust’s business information and customer knowledge. You will have a wide range of technical knowledge relating to customer-facing IT systems, database management, reporting, ICT infrastructure, and in the broadest sense the application of modern digital technologies.
The successful candidate will be employed by Falkirk Community Trust. The Trust is a charitable company set up by Falkirk Council to deliver culture, library, recreation and sport services on its behalf from 1 July 2011.
