Reporting to the IT Network Technical Team Lead, this is a senior post within the new IT Services structure and is critical in the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services. As Advanced Network Specialist your challenge is to be the subject matter expert on the IPT, networking and network security services used by West Lothian Council and provide technical leadership within the fields of IPT, networking and network security.
The post will work closely with the other Advanced Specialist posts within the team covering specialist areas including Unix, Wintel, Security, Client and Server Management and Application Interface Development providing an excellent IT service provision to all of our customers.
This permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the new IT structure within West Lothian Council IT Services.
IT Services structure is based on ITlLv3 and you must have a solid understanding, knowledge and experience of good practice.
Applicants will have proven experience implementing and supporting IPT, networks and network security in a multi-site, multi-security profile compliance organisation, including significant experience working on Avaya IPT systems.
